Ashburnham Police Department
School Resources officer

Hello, my name is Kevin Ahearn and I have been a Police Officer for the Town of Ashburnham for the past 18 years. During the past five years, I have been assigned as the School Resource Officer at Briggs Elementary School. In this capacity, I take part in several programs throughout the school. These include, working with administration and staff on any issues that may arise within the school. Also, as well as facilitating programs such as Bus, Bike Safety, Halloween Safety, Stranger Danger, and the R.I.S.E. Program, and most recently a School-Wide Anti-Bullying Program. These Programs may be facilitated individually with parent volunteers or at times in coordination with the School Adjustment Counselor.

When I am not working as the School Resource Officer, my duties include patrol, covering motor vehicle accidents, assisting the fire department, investigations, traffic stops, building checks, welfare checks, answering a variety of calls and overall community policing. I am available to help with a variety of police issues.

If you have a public or school concern, I can be reached through the Ashburnham Police Department at 978-827-5714 or can be reached via email. kahearn@ashburnhampd.com
