In 2010, Detective Siano along with Officers from the Ashburnham and Ashby Police Departments as well as agents with the Drug Enforcement Agency and National Guard, took part in a grant which sponsored the location and seizure of Marijuanna plants. Through Helicopter surveillance and ground crews, over 79 Plants were located in Ashburnham and seized from private property. The amount of plants seized accounts for approximately $79,000.00 in street value. The DEA and National Guard plan on returning to Ashburnham again in an attempt to locate, seize, and pursue criminal charges agianst those who are responsible for growing them.
